Our people. Our power.

Working people in Los Angeles are struggling. We can’t afford our rent payments or basic goods, while corporate landlords and grocery corporations rake in record profits. ICE and federal agents are marching through our streets, terrorizing our communities. Massive businesses are doing everything they can to decimate worker protections and prevent paying a living wage. Reactionary, status-quo politicians continue to funnel more and more money to the LAPD, instead of towards care-first programs that actually help those in need. Our infrastructure is not even close to being prepared to deal with the disastrous effects of climate change banging at our doors.

These things aren’t happening by accident. This is the city and the world the ruling class wants us to live in. We need to shake things up, and that is why we need to make sure we’re electing politicians who are the real deal – who are committed, capable, and ready to build long-term power for LA’s working class.

We do this because we know to build a better world, we need to build real connections with our neighbors across the city.

We do this to shake up a corrupt system and take the power back from the billionaires, bosses, fascists, and villains ruining our city and our lives. We do this because we need to build a mass multigenerational multicultural movement that’s able to create real change. We do this because we know the fight doesn’t end on Election Day.

This is not an easy fight. Our enemies will spend millions and do everything to try and stop us from taking away their power. Capitalism has worked hard to destroy social bonds, teaching us to isolate ourselves from others and be scared of our neighbors. Breaking that habit isn’t easy, but if we want a better world, we have to push ourselves to have those conversations and build those connections.
